This started out to be a simple pencil drawing in B&W, but one of the pears turned out to have other ideas . . . .

I started sketching and painting New York as a student nearly 50 years ago, and continue to find endless inspiration in rhythms and colors of the urban streetscape. I also will be posting some gleanings from my sketchbooks, mainly for the students in my “Sketching in the City” evening classes, part of Angela Tripi-Weiss’s unique Arts In Action program.
