"Conservatory Water," the gemlike pond below the "castle" -- the old Central Park weather station -- can seem like a magical realm with a summer sunset behind it.

- Most of the images on this site are done in and around my favorite natural habitat -- New York City, and especially the Upper West side. I started sketching and painting New York as a student nearly 50 years ago, and continue to find endless inspiration in rhythms and colors of the urban streetscape.
