Visual gleanings from New York's Upper West Side (& elsewhere)

Will & Peggy
These are from a while ago. The nice thing about unconscious models is they don't move around a lot, and they usually don't complain much about keeping still.
Most of the images on this site are done in and around my favorite natural habitat -- New York City, and especially the Upper West side. I started sketching and painting New York as a student nearly 50 years ago, and continue to find endless inspiration in rhythms and colors of the urban streetscape.
I also will be posting some gleanings from my sketchbooks, mainly for the students in my “Sketching in the City” evening classes, part of Angela Tripi-Weiss’s unique Arts In Action program.
